A fabulous Antique Edwardian Opal Garland necklace made by jewellers E.W. Payne. The company was based in Bromley and were in business for a respectable 103 years, commissioning many lavish pieces throughout the 20th Century including some for members of the Royal family.
The necklace is decorated with an array of colourful Natural Opals in various shapes and sizes. The bottom is lined with Opal droppers and a festoon in the centre adorned with a heart cut stone and a large oval and Pear cut stone (approx. 3ct and 5ct).
Each link is fashioned in 18ct Gold and leads to a large ring clasp at the end. It really is a magnificent necklace and boasts approx. 20ct of Opal in total.
It’s remained with its original fitted box as well complete with the maker’s logo on the underside.
