'James Brydon' is known as one of the most adaptable, hardy and easy-to-grow waterlilies. It grows well in any size of pond, be it a tub or a lake, and even thrives in partial shade where most lilies would fail. It is very free-flowering and the blooms are a beautiful shade of carmine red with a full peony shape. The leaves emerge a rich burgundy colour, turning dark green with maturity. So good it was given the Award Of Garden Merit (AGM) by the Royal Horticultural Society.
